Five Arrested for Illegal Sediment Extraction in Makkah
The Special Forces for Environmental Security (SFES) have apprehended five Pakistani residents in the Makkah region for illegally extracting sediment, a violation of environmental regulations. Legal procedures have been initiated against the individuals in accordance with applicable laws. The SFES reported the seizure of five pieces of equipment used for the excavation and transportation of soil. The forces have reiterated their commitment to monitoring and apprehending activities that harm the environment or wildlife. They have urged the public to report any such violations by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 999 and 996 in other parts of the Kingdom. The SFES assured that all reports are treated confidentially and that reporters bear no responsibility.
