Mace Consult has been appointed as Procurement Advisory Consultant for Expo 2030 Riyadh. It will provide procurement expertise, market intelligence, specialist resources and digital capabilities to support delivery of the international event.

Under the appointment, Mace Consult will support Expo 2030 Riyadh in managing and delivering procurement activities across the programme. It will help establish efficient procurement processes and commercial foundations aligned with the event's objectives.

The scope of services includes access to a global network of procurement professionals, market intelligence, subject matter expertise and digital solutions. These are intended to support effective procurement planning and execution.

Expo 2030 Riyadh is scheduled to take place from 1 October 2030 to 31 March 2031, with more than 42 million visits expected. It will bring together 197 official participants across a six-million-square-metre site in Riyadh. The World Expo will be held under the theme "Foresight for Tomorrow" and will serve as a global platform for collaboration and innovation, supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Christopher McMahon, Country Director for Saudi Arabia at Mace Consult, said the company would combine its procurement expertise with its experience in delivering major programmes and global events. The aim, he said, is to help establish the commercial foundations required for a successful Expo.

Mace Consult has an established presence in Saudi Arabia and has supported major development programmes across the Kingdom, including Diriyah, Qiddiya and King Salman International Airport. Its services cover programme and project management, PMO and planning, cost and commercial management, advisory services, responsible business solutions and digital capabilities.

Why this mattersNothing here touches Madinah directly, but the appointment shows that Expo procurement is being structured now, ahead of the 2030 opening. Consultants and contractors in Madinah who want Expo-related work should likely expect packages to be run through formal procurement processes, so prequalification readiness is worth checking early. The scale, a six-million-square-metre site and 42 million expected visits, is a benchmark for event-driven demand on hospitality and mixed-use supply across the Kingdom.
