Multi-use hospitality building

Design stagestage

A 4 370 m² plot in Madinah carrying 32 555 m² of building — which only works if the section is solved before the plan. The elevation is a pointed-arch screen drawn from the city it stands in, and it does structural work: it shades a fully glazed envelope of 29 000 m² in a climate that would otherwise make that glazing a cooling bill rather than a view.

Concept design

Twenty floors on an 8 550 m² site, but only 16% of it built on — the rest is landscape. That ratio is the project: density delivered vertically so the ground stays open, rather than spread until nothing is left of the site.

ARTIFEX Resort

Own development

A mountain resort planned as a whole settlement rather than a hotel: terraced villages, standalone villas, a cable car, a leisure spine and the arrival sequence that ties them together. It is the practice designing for itself, which means every operating cost lands on the same balance sheet as the design decision.

Administrative building

Design stage

A civic building wrapped in an arched perforated screen — the traditional panjara read at building scale. The screen is not decoration: it carries the solar load on the long elevations so the glazing behind it can stay open to daylight.

HBR — multifunctional complex

Concept

Offices, retail, residence and a planted roof terrace stacked on one plot. The programme is mixed deliberately: each use pays for a different hour of the day, so the building is never empty and never entirely full.

Luxury Waterfront Street

Concept

A conceptual design turning a neglected watercourse in central Tashkent into a street — retail and public space along a frontage the city had turned its back on. The water is the reason the street exists, not a view sold from behind glass.
