Saudi Arabia achieved a significant milestone in homeownership in 2025, with the national rate reaching 66.24%, surpassing the target of 65% and aligning with Saudi Vision 2030's goal of 70%. During this period, 107,000 housing units and developed land plots were made available, offering Saudi homebuyers a wider range of options. At Cityscape Global 2025, 62% of visitors were actively searching for homes, with 42% interested in properties priced between $300,000 and $2.6 million. The introduction of Implementing Regulations for the Law of Real Estate Ownership by Non-Saudis is expected to expand the market by clarifying foreign ownership eligibility and registration, creating opportunities for international buyers. Cityscape Global 2026 will bring together homebuyers, property investors, developers, financial institutions, and policymakers in a single marketplace. Visitors will have the chance to compare residential projects, explore financing solutions, and access expert guidance for informed property and investment decisions. The event aims to continue facilitating property transactions, as highlighted by the National Housing Company's Guinness World Records™ title for most homes sold at a real estate exhibition in 2025. Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail emphasized Saudi Arabia's transformation in homeownership access, supported by expanding financing options and new residential communities. Mohammad Albuty, CEO of NHC, noted the rapid growth of Saudi Arabia's real estate sector, driven by demand for homeownership and investor confidence. NHC's portfolio reached SAR250 billion by the end of 2025, with plans to exceed SAR500 billion in assets and develop over 600,000 residential units by 2030. NHC is also leveraging digital technologies to enhance the real estate experience and support smart city management. Cityscape Global is described as a major international platform for showcasing residential and investment opportunities, strengthening connections between developers, investors, and homebuyers. Tahaluf Executive Vice President Rachel Sturgess highlighted Saudi Arabia's progress in homeownership and the creation of a larger, more diverse buyer market.

Why this mattersCityscape Global 2026 presents an opportunity for developers and investors in Madinah to engage with a broader audience of homebuyers and investors, potentially increasing demand for residential projects in the region.
