Emaar, The Economic City (EEC) has entered into an Infrastructure Development Agreement valued at SAR 152 million, excluding VAT, with Automotive Solutions Company for Logistics Services. This agreement aims to develop additional infrastructure and utility capacity for the Masarat Mobility Park project within the King Salman Automotive Cluster at King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC). The agreement, signed on 13 September 2026, covers the design, construction, and delivery of additional infrastructure works required to provide utility services and capacity for the Masarat Mobility Park development in the Special Economic Zone at KAEC. The additional infrastructure works are being undertaken following a request from Masarat Mobility Park for utility capacities exceeding those originally contemplated when the industrial land sale agreements were entered into in 2023. Under the agreement, Emaar, The Economic City will be responsible for designing, constructing, and delivering the required additional infrastructure to support the project’s utility requirements. The works are intended to facilitate the development and operation of Masarat Mobility Park as an integrated industrial and logistics hub serving the Kingdom’s automotive and mobility sector. Masarat Mobility Park was established by the parties that previously entered into industrial land sale agreements with Emaar EC, including Dar Al Himmah Projects Co. Ltd., TASARU Mobility Investments, Zamil Group Real Estate Company, and Abdullah Ibrahim Alkhorayef Sons Co. The venture is being developed to establish secondary infrastructure and an industrial logistics hub within the Special Economic Zones. The latest infrastructure agreement represents an additional investment associated with the development of the automotive and mobility cluster at KAEC and strengthens the infrastructure base required to support future industrial and logistics activities within the zone. The financial impact of the agreement is expected to be reflected in Emaar EC’s financial results from the third quarter of 2026. Emaar, The Economic City had previously announced industrial land sale agreements in June 2023 involving several companies for the development of automotive and mobility-related facilities within King Abdullah Economic City. The parties subsequently established Masarat Mobility Park to develop secondary infrastructure and create an industrial logistics hub within the Special Economic Zone. The latest agreement is separate from the previously announced industrial land sale transaction, which had a value of SAR 366.77 million, and relates specifically to the additional infrastructure and utility requirements of the Masarat Mobility Park development.

Why this mattersThis agreement enhances infrastructure capacity at King Abdullah Economic City, potentially increasing its attractiveness for automotive and logistics projects. For developers in Madinah, this could signal increased demand for related services and infrastructure expertise, offering opportunities for collaboration or expansion into similar projects. The financial impact on Emaar EC may also serve as a benchmark for assessing the viability of similar infrastructure investments.
