fischer Secures Supply Contract for Jeddah Tower
fischer, a German fastening technology specialist, has secured a contract to supply steel and chemical products for the Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia. The contract includes the provision of chemical and steel anchors, as well as load-bearing fastening solutions designed for extreme conditions. These products will support the construction of the tower, which is planned to exceed one kilometre in height.
The Jeddah Tower, with a valuation exceeding €1.5 billion, is currently under construction in Jeddah and is expected to be completed by 2028. Upon completion, it will surpass the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, currently the tallest building in the world at 828 metres, to become the tallest building globally.
Osama Farhat, General Manager Sales KSA at fischer, highlighted that their anchors were selected for their load-bearing capacity and reliability in extreme conditions. This contract adds to fischer's portfolio of regional landmark projects, including the Burj Khalifa, the ‘Ain Dubai observation wheel, and the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
