The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and the government of Nepal have signed an agreement to promote air transport services between the two countries. The signing ceremony took place in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, with GACA represented by Executive Vice President for Air Transport and International Cooperation Ali Rajab, and the Nepalese government represented by Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jaya Narayan Acharya. The agreement is designed to establish a safe and orderly framework for air transport between Saudi Arabia and Nepal, aligning with developments in bilateral regulation. During the official visit, Ali Rajab also met with Nepal's Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Khadak Raj Paudel, to discuss further cooperation in civil aviation and tourism.

Why this mattersThis agreement could potentially increase air connectivity between Saudi Arabia and Nepal, which may affect tourism and business travel. For developers in Madinah, this could mean increased demand for hospitality services, as more tourists and business travelers might pass through the region. Understanding these trends can help in planning and designing projects that cater to increased international visitors.
