Saudi Authorities Approve Misk Tarout Master Plan

Saudi authorities have given the Sharqia Development Authority the green light for the Misk Tarout master plan, which focuses on Darin and Tarout Island. The plan was developed in collaboration with the Tarout and Darin Island Development Foundation and Al Seif Real Estate Company, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The approval is expected to pave the way for new urban, economic, and environmental development projects in the Eastern Region. Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Eastern Region Governor and Chairman of the Sharqia Development Authority, stated that this approval marks an advanced stage in the islands' development, aiming to integrate economic, urban, and environmental considerations. The master plan seeks to unlock development and investment opportunities, creating a planning and regulatory framework for sustainable projects. Sharqia Acting CEO Talal bin Nabil Almaghlouth mentioned that the plan would support investors by providing a framework to turn investment opportunities into viable and sustainable projects, enhancing investment efficiency and confidence in the region.
