A residential and commercial complex in Tashkent, seen from the air: white mid-rise housing blocks under pitched roofs, set in a green landscaped site that gathers around a swimming lagoon. A curved commercial spine runs along the edge of the plot, keeping commerce on the perimeter and leaving the interior to gardens and water. The housing reads as repeated blocks rather than a single mass, the pitched roofs giving the ensemble a domestic scale even from above.
