ARTIFEX begins the Waqf Hotel in Central Madinah
ARTIFEX GROUP SAUDI has begun the Waqf Hotel project in the Central Area of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah. The Waqf granted ARTIFEX the permission to build, and today the company presented the hotel's design.
The hotel stands beside Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, on the Bab Al-Aqiq side, in the city's established hotel district. Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport is about 25 minutes away by car.
The facade is born from two symbols of Madinah: the pointed arch of the Prophet's Mosque and the woven bark of the Madinah date palm. Interlocking stone arches wrap the whole tower — warm stone by day and a glowing lantern by night.
The building has 12 guest floors with 132 rooms and 504 beds. Each floor has 11 rooms for 42 guests around its own lift lobby, so a complete Umrah group can stay together on one level.
Rooms of 24.5 m² welcome three to four guests, each with a private bathroom; arch windows open toward the Haram.
A 137 m² lobby, a 216 m² restaurant on the mezzanine above a double-height hall, a prayer room and a gym complete the guest experience.
The images are architectural visualizations of the design.
